Staffer Nigel Cook's knowledge of the area and past experience witnessing the space shuttle's normal trajectory led to this striking photograph of Space Shuttle Discovery's liftoff. This image was published all over the world and is the News-Journal's most-sought photo reprint. Cook was also honored with the Florida Associated Press photo-of-the-year award for this image.
